Principal

Welcome to Kennedy School! I am Dr. Jaronique Devezin, and I am honored to serve our students, families, and staff.

With more than 25 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Throughout my career, I have served as an elementary teacher, assistant principal, and principal in school districts across Michigan, including Detroit, Highland Park, Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, and Pontiac. Since joining Pontiac School District, I have had the privilege of leading Whitman Elementary, Herrington Elementary, and now Kennedy School.

I earned my Bachelor of Science from Tennessee State University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, a Post-Master Certificate in Central Office Administration, and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Oakland University. As a lifelong learner, I believe continuous growth allows us to better serve our students, families, and school community.

At Kennedy School, my mission is to ensure every student receives a high-quality education in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every voice is heard and every child has the opportunity to thrive. I am passionate about preparing students with the academic, social, and life skills they need to become confident, independent, and productive members of their communities.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, running, shopping, and walking. I look forward to partnering with our families as we work together to help every Kennedy student reach their fullest potential.
